If you are taking Anti-Retroviral Protease Inhibitors (medicines to treat HIV infection and AIDS) and receive Lidocaine, you may be at increased risk of developing a change in heartbeat (palpitations) or very low blood pressure during the procedure. Talk to your health care provider before any surgeries or procedures and inform them that you have been taking Protease Inhibitors.
