What is this medicine?

SACROSIDASE is used to treat sucrase deficiency. This is part of a genetic condition known as congenital sucrase- isomaltase deficiency (CSID).

This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?

How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Each dose must be diluted with 2 to 4 ounces of water, milk, or infant formula. Use the specially marked measuring scoop that is provided with your medicine. The beverage or infant formula should be served cold or at room temperature. Do not heat the solution, mix it with hot liquids, or mix or consume with acidic beverages such as fruit juice. This can cause your medicine to not work properly. Take this medicine with food. Take half of each dose at the start of the meal or snack and take the other half during the meal or snack. Do not take your medicine more often than directed.

Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. While this drug may be prescribed for selected conditions, precautions do apply.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose before a meal, take it as soon as you finish your meal. If it is almost time for your next meal, take only one dose with that meal. Do not take double or extra doses.
