What is this medicine?LACTOBACILLUS (lak toh buh SIL uhs) is a supplement. It is used to help the normal balance of bacteria in the colon. This may treat or prevent diarrhea caused by an infection or by antibiotics. The FDA has not approved this supplement for any medical use.This supplement may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions. How should I use this medicine?Take this medicine by mouth with a small amount of milk, fruit juice, or water. Follow the directions on the package labeling, or take as directed by your health care professional. This medicine can be taken with cereal or other food. Do not take this medicine more often than directed.Contact your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed. This medicine is not recommended for children under 3 years old unless prescribed by a doctor. Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others. What if I miss a dose?If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose.
