  • fever over 103 degrees F
  • inconsolable crying for 3 hours or more
  • seizures
  • unusually weak or tired

  • bruising, pain, swelling at site where injected
  • fussy
  • loss of appetite
  • low- grade fever
  • sleepy
  • vomiting
