What is this medicine?CLINDAMYCIN; TRETINOIN (KLIN da MYE sin; TRET i noe in) is a combination of a topical antibiotic and a form of vitamin A. It is used to treat acne.This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions. What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
How should I use this medicine?This medicine is for use on the skin only. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Use at bedtime. Wash hands before and after use. Gently wash your face with a mild, non- medicated soap before use. Pat the skin dry. Apply a pea- size amount of the gel to your fingertip and gently spread it over your face. Do not use this medicine on your eyes, ears, nostrils, angles of the nose, or mouth. Do not use your medicine more often than directed. Apply all of your medicine as directed even if you think you are better. Do not skip doses or stop your medicine early.A patient information sheet for the product will be given with each prescription and refill. Read this sheet carefully each time. The sheet may change frequently. Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed. Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others. |
