What is this medicine?

VITAMIN E (VAHY tuh min E) is a vitamin that is being promoted for its ability to protect against aging of the skin caused by ultraviolet light, such as sunlight and to aid in the healing of minor burns and sunburns. These claims have not been evaluated by the FDA at this time. Vitamin E is a naturally occurring vitamin that is found in many foods such as cereal grains, fruits, green leafy vegetables, vegetable oils, and wheat germ oil.

This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

How should I use this medicine?

This medicine is for external use only. Do not take by mouth. Follow the directions on the label. Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse the eyes well with plenty of cool tap water.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
