Quazepam is in a group of drugs called benzodiazepines (ben-zoe-dye-AZE-eh-peens). Quazepam affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause sleep problems (insomnia).

Quetiapine is an antipsychotic medication. It works by changing the actions of chemicals in the brain.

Quinapril is in a group of drugs called ACE inhibitors. ACE stands for angiotensin converting enzyme.

Quinidine affects the way that the heart beats.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has banned the sale of all non-approved brands of quinine because of the risk of serious side effects or death. As of December 2006, Qualaquin is the only brand of quinine that is approved by the FDA.
