We love to spotlight our wonderful readers here at the 'Mine, especially because we have some really fabulous, accomplished people in our community. For example, Caroline Sheehan, a type 1 PWD for 8 years, who recently won our giveaway of the book Your Medical Mind. Not only is Caroline a good friend of mine, but she's an accomplished Laughter Yoga instructor (featured for that last Fall) and has run two marathons — and she's only 25 years old!
Caroline recently ran the New York City marathon, where she is based. She sat down with me to talk about her experiences as a long-distance runner, her passion for laughter yoga, and her love of the diabetes online community:
We couldn't agree with you more, Caroline! The DOC is great medicine for living well with diabetes. Thanks for doing all you do. And we're rooting for you in the New Jersey marathon, too!
