I'm a little late in noting that this week's Grand Rounds of the medical blogs are up, hosted by "Dr. Sanity" Pat Santy. I highlight this for two reasons:
* Pat covers this week's entries through an unusual tour of Leonardo Da Vinci's beautifully detailed anatomical drawings. Talk about a man ahead of his time! I like her note that Sigmund Freud once said, "Leonardo da Vinci was like a man who awoke too early in the darkness, while the others were all still asleep."
* For the patient portion of the program, Yours Truly is referenced on the power of patient symposia, along with Joan H. of Oasis of Sanity, who suffers from thyroid cancer, talking extensively about second-guessing her doctor's recommendation to operate. Plus Neo-Neocon talks about suddenly discovering that she needs laser eye surgery. Even without a chronic disease, she hates going to the doctor. Go figure...
