New, 1000+ Healthline Learning Centers Help Consumers Find Relevant Information More Quickly

SAN FRANCISCO—May 20, 2008—Healthline Networks (www.healthline.com), a leading provider of intelligent health information services, today launched Healthline Learning Centers on its leading consumer health search portal, Healthline.com. The Healthline Learning Centers combine the company’s semantic taxonomy, the world’s largest consumer health taxonomy, with medically-guided navigation to find and organize contextually relevant health content and multimedia assets specific to more than 1000 diseases and conditions, resulting in a more comprehensive and easy-to-navigate consumer health resource.

Healthline Learning Centers extend the breadth of content from 200 diseases and conditions to more than 1000 algorithmically-consolidated, rich, contextually relevant health information centers. From a single Web page, consumers can now dive deeper for clinical information, research expert second opinions, and browse multimedia such as the latest health videos, periodicals and interactive tools and assessments. Content in the Learning Centers comes from more than 20 Healthline partners – premier medical and health publishers like Adam, Cerner Multum, Eating Well, Gale Cengage, Harvard, the NBC Digital Health Network and StayWell, among others – and has been thoroughly vetted by doctors.
