Web User Interface Developer

Opportunity

Join our team building world class Web Applications for the healthcare industry. An ideal candidate would have deep skills in front-end Web Development and implementation with a passion for building great web-based user interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Elegantly implement page designs in standards-compliant dynamic XHTML and CSS.
  • Collaborate with the design team to define the information architecture, advocating Web interaction design best practices with a focus on consistency and usability.
  • Manage the overall visual design for web products, including all branding and navigational elements.
  • Author complex Web pages using JSP, JavaScript, HTML, AJAX , JSTL and XML.
  • Work closely with back-end developers to find ways to push the limits of existing Web technology in service of creating the best possible user experience.
Requirements
  • 4 years of software developing experience.
  • Working knowledge of industry standard visual design tools ( Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience with any JavaScript libraries (YUI, X Library, Prototype, etc.)
  • Strong Web application design skills, including information architecture, interface design and visual design.
  • Ability to understand and interpret existing site design and style guides to inform your work.
  • Excellent project management skills: self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly kinetic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills: able to facilitate your own meetings as necessary, comfortable working with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven expertise with: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, XML, AJAX.
  • Familiar with: Java, JSP, JSTL.
  • Bonus if you're familiar with: Flash and Spring Framework.

Knowledge/Skills & Abilities

  • BA or BS degree and 3-5 years experience in content management
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously; set and meet deadlines
  • Good research and evaluation skills
  • Solid business sense
  • Facility with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
