Opportunity

Healthline Networks in San Francisco seeks a full-time Advertising Operations Manager to build and manage its Advertising Operations team. This individual will be responsible for supervising all aspects of advertising operations for Healthline, the fastest growing consumer healthcare website in the U.S., and select partner websites. Using DART for Publishers (DFP) and related systems, the Manager, Advertising and Sales Operations will supervise the advertising sales and trafficking workflow, campaign proposals, campaign implementation, reporting, and billing. This position requires the applicant have experience in the online advertising operation field and in the technologies used to support online advertising operations, including ad serving, third-party ad tags, audience measurement tools, HTML, Flash, and web analytics.

This is a highly visible position which interacts with many other functions including Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance and Client Services. The right candidate will be extremely organized, highly analytical, have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently to develop and implement processes to establish a world-class Advertising and Sales Operations team. The ideal candidate will have prior management experience and the ability to assess team needs, provide team development and hire additional team members as needed. The position is based in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Traffic and maintain advertising campaigns and programs on Healthline.com and partner websites
  • Assist the ad sales team in forecasting inventory and developing proposals
  • Actively monitor campaigns to ensure that the Healthline meets its contractual obligations for advertising/sponsorship programs
  • Represent Healthline to our clients with friendly, prompt, professional customer service and a "can-do" attitude
  • Ensure that ads and campaigns are configured with appropriate reporting attributes in place, to provide accurate, organized, and useful data for revenue analysis
  • Monitor overall campaign performance to discover and resolve discrepancies in campaign parameters or system functioning
  • Work with Finance to refine performance reporting systems and strategies, and utilize the results to adjust campaigns for better revenue optimization
  • Work with Product to update, maintain and to manage locations and parameters of ad calls across Healthline.com and network partner web sites
  • Generate campaign reports for advertisers and revenue sharing reports for partners
  • Develop and maintain advertising specifications and the online media kit
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing for campaigns

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience directing online advertising operations
  • Experience using DoubleClick's DFP
  • Experience managing workflow and task assignment within a workgroup; prior experience with Saleforce.com a definite plus
  • Proficiency developing and managing process documentation
  • Quantitative analysis skills a must
  • Extreme attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure
  • Proven planning and organizational skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work dynamically with minimum supervision
  • Able to handle multiple projects
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain constructive work relationships with internal and external partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Javascript and XML a definite plus
