Advertising Operations Manager

Opportunity

Healthline Networks seeks an energetic Manager, Advertising Operations for the San Francisco Office. The successful candidate will bring 2-3 years experience in online advertising operations to lead a team which supports Advertising, Sales Operations, Creative Services and the growing roster of Healthline Media Network partners. In addition to experience in ad ops, the position requires knowledge in the technologies used to support online advertising operations, including ad serving, audience management tools, inventory applications, HTML, Flash, and third-party ad tags. Healthline is seeking a candidate who will not only manage a department, but develop a vision and strategy for growth and execute on it, working in part with the HLN Engineering team to develop new and exciting solutions to meet growing business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee team of campaign and traffic managers to test, maintain, troubleshoot and optimize online advertising campaigns using DoubleClick's DFP ad server
  • Lead the day-to-day management of HLN Media Network partners
  • Create reports and processes to monitor campaign delivery and to communicate relevant metrics to Advertising Sales
  • Work collaboratively with Ad Sales to recommend campaign modifications, leveraging an understanding of advertiser and product performance
  • Regularly monitor and reconcile campaign delivery across third party ad serving systems, including monthly billing and Media Network Partner reporting
  • Support Sales Operations by running inventory queries and updating ad calendars
  • Manage and improve yield of unsold inventory on Healthline.com
  • Identify and evaluate new products, technologies and services to improve efficiencies, business processes and customer support, including developing marketing requirements documents for internal Ad and Sales Planning product development
Requirements
  • 2-3 years experience in online ad trafficking a must
  • Experience with DoubleClick's DFP or other ad-serving applications; experience with Dart Network Builder a plus
  • Knowledge of inventory management, sales planning and 3rd party report
  • Experience with campaign trafficking - rich media, standard display, text and re-directs
  • Experience with 3rd party rich media vendors such as Pointroll, Eyewonder, and Eyeblaster
  • Experience with Google AdSense and other 3rd party remnant ad providers
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills
  • Results-driven with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
  • HTML skills a plus
