Ad Solutions Designer
Opportunity
Healthline.com is searching for a talented designer to join the Creative Services team who will be focused on the creation of unique ad solutions and will complete additional tasks as needed. This is a great opportunity to work on the web with products that impact the health and care millions of people.
Responsibilities
- Participate in brainstorming sessions leading to the generation of responses to RFPs.
- Create design mocks for a range of ad solutions from microsites to custom clinical applications.
- Create assets required for the build of custom ad solutions; wireframes, images and other page elements.
- Create visual designs that address business, brand, market, and user requirements, including design of screen layouts, icons, banners, storyboards, and prototypes.
- Work collaboratively with product teams to create designs throughout the product lifecycle, from initial explorations to final creative deliverables
- Ensure design consistency across all areas of Healthline.com and external usages of the Healthline brand
- Participate in concept development, design ideation, and detailed specification of visual designs for future clinical applications.
- Collaborate with producers, interaction designers, and engineers to refine the user experience and release the final product on schedule.
- Assist with tracking progress of multiple design projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related design field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a web designer, with this being your primary job function
- Candidate must have an online portfolio demonstrating strong web design skills (information design, layout, typography and color)
- Candidate must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively in a dynamic cross-functional team, and be able to rationalize and present their design ideas and decisions effectively. An ability to communicate in a professional manner with external clients is also key.
- Must be able to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidate must be a self-starter and be willing to champion the users and the brand at every opportunity.
- Solid grasp of graphic and UI design and information design principles, and a good understanding of current web technologies (html, dhtml, css), standards, and cross-browser compatibility issues
- Expert knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
- Proficiency with HTML (Dreamweaver) and CSS
- Proficiency with Adobe Flash and InDesign a plus
