Obama vs McCain: Which Will Be Better for Health?

Tara Gidus, MS, RD, CSSD, LD/N

The debates are heating up between the two Presidential candidates, Barak Obama and John McCain. While there are many issues to discuss, I would love to hear your opinion on the following:

Which candidate will be better for the health of our nation and why?

You can review their policies on healthcare coverage to help think about your decision, but you can also think about other issues that contribute to our health other than healthcare.

Post a comment. I would love to hear from you!

Excellent post. Everyone is asking me what is better about each plan, and I've always been stumped. Each side seems to have its own merits, but I'm leaning towards the McCain plan, because increasing choice and decreasing the gov role in things should decrease costs for the average person. It's hard to say though. I like many aspects of McCain's plan. I love the site. If you look deeper, there are a lot of other great posts.

A cleaner environment is obviously more healthy. Air pollution sickens and kills many, many people. Water conservation leads to a better water supply. We all know which candidate will do more for environmental issues--Obama.
